How We Serve
At the Katy Lions Club, we’re not only about blindly assigning folks to generically serve. We strive to match our serving Lions with activities and efforts that compliment their skills, desires, and capacities available to them.
You’re encouraged to contribute your available time to service projects, as well as being available to attend other activities and events. You can always talk with members. The biggest bonus: if you’re running low on free time but still want to give back, you can become a financial supporter of our fifty year old club.
Take a look at just some of the amazing ways the Katy Lions Club serves our community.

Eye Glass Drop Off Sites
Eye Vision Screening & Glasses Drop-Off Collections
We provide eye care vision, and through our dozens of used glasses pickups, we have collected tens of thousands of glasses over the last few years. Those glasses, along with the glasses from over fifty other clubs in the area go to a processing center which stamps out new prescriptions, at low- to- no cost to lower income families, many of them with young children, who need them. We also provide eye exams through our partnership with the nurses of Katy Independent School District, again, at little cost to the families.
The Katy Lions Club has various locations where the community can drop off used glasses. Those wanting to serve in this project can help by checking and emptying the boxes, which are then taken to the distribution center monthly. The shown coloring is based on our assigned pick-up zones, and doesn't affect where you drop off.
